Benefit concert a success!

Elizabeth Howes August 2013

This weekend's benefit concert brought together friends, family, islanders and mainlanders for a night of great music with even better people. Tami and Vinny started the show with a little help from Vinny's granddaughter, Bella, a future star with her winning stage presence and command of the tamborine. They rocked fun classics from Bob Seager, Guns n' Roses, The Hip and more. Sarah Eves switched things up with beautiful reditions of some more heartfelt ballads like "Wild Horses" and "Fast Car" accompanied on piano by the incredibly talented Saki Uchida. Owner of the W.I.P.P, James Kirkham, joined them on stage for "Imagine" while the crowd accompanied from their seats. Theresa Whalen-Witjes lent her powerful voice to "What's Up"  to close out the night. Overall the event raised over $150 that will be used to finish constructing the garden shed.
